National Anthem was written with the excitement that was experienced during difficult days of the War of Independence. Therefore, Mehmet Akif said "That poem cannot be written again. No one can not write it. I can not also write it. To write it, someone needs to see and live those days. That poem is not my poetry anymore. That is the property of our nation," and did not take National Anthem to his Safahat.

In what a good way, Mehmet Akif said about himself. He is a poet speaking directly, living fairly and writing right. A generation that listens to the national anthem swelling with pride should also recognize the poet who wrote that unique anthem. Because failure in knowing Mehmet Akif is just like being inside the sea without knowing the sea. We decided that knowing him, understanding and commemorating him would best suit us, the Family of Martyr Adil Büyükcengiz, and we started our works. We would like to thank primarily Bilgen KOCAKUŞAK and Cemile Hatun KELEŞ who lead us this sacred task and to all our valuable teachers and our school manager, Abdulkadir Işık, whose reassuring hands we always felt with us.

What makes the flag a real flag is the blood on it

If someone died for the country, it is homeland

            These verses cannot be suitable for any other land and flag as much, can they? That is because the fate of this land was to cherish its martyrs. Just 102 years ago on 18 March 1915, Çanakkale Victory was won. Architects of this victory is "Çanakkale Martyrs". Our martyrs who defended our sacred homeland with their bodies kept intact under the soil... We first read hundreds of Yasin Surah to commemorate our martyrs deservingly. Since our school was newly established, we could read the whole of the Koran only 41 times this year, but in the following year, we could finish Koran for 103 times in honor of the 103rd year. We visited Edirnekapı Martyrdom with the support of our other teachers, Gültekin YILMAZ and Emine ÇINAR ŞALCI. We visited our Çanakkale martyrs and Mehmet Akif Ersoy before their tombs. We commemorate our ancestors with Koran, Yasin surah and Fatihah Surah readings.

If I erect Kaaba saying "This is your stone,"

If I hear my soul's inspiration and pass onto the stone,

Then I take the blue vault like garment of the Prophet,

And take all stars into his bleeding tomb,

If I build a ceiling on your mausoleum open to purple clouds,

If I extend seven pleiades from there,

You, under this chandelier, covered in blood,

Lying down, If I bring the night sky to your side,

If I kept it waiting there until dawn,

If I fill your chandelir with day's dawn,

If I cover you with moresque during evenings,

Again, I cannot say that I could do anything for your memory

...

Akif again becomes the interpreter of our feelings, doesn't he? What we do and say is not enough... May Allah have mercy on them all, we remember them gratefully.

May Allah not let our National Anthem and flag away from us. May Allah not deprive us from our holy homeland covered with the blood of martyrs. Allah rests souls of our ancestors mainly our martyrs and veterans who left us this holy homeland. We are happy to commemorate our unique history and glorious ancestors once again at the 102th anniversary of 18 March Çanakkale Martyrs and at the 96th anniversary of acceptance of National Anthem in the Grand National Assembly.
